ANJAN SHAHEED

Village is the heart of India. And India, abounded with villages, is called as a country of village although the people of the village are migrating and shifting in big cities in the hope of getting job and work. There is no dearth of works in the village but unfortunately there is no source of good income. That is why people migrate। and same is with Anjan Shaheed. At least one member of each family of this village can be seen in remote states or countries.
This is an ancient and historically important pond, built by a landlord (Gupta landlord) of this village। This pond is called as "PAKKA POKHARA" for it is made of old and castly stones which has sorrounded this charming and lovely pond. In the morning, when the sun starts giving its glimpse behind a mongo tree and going up on the surface of azure sky, water of this pond becomes transparent and looks like a form of mirror. On the one corner of this pond is a temple which was built after a long-held controversy. Near that temple, there is a old and fatty tree which is used for taking shelter from sunshine and jumping into the pond.
This pond abounds with many types of fishes and water plant। Catching fishes is limited to those people who look after this pond. Rainy water is main source for the collection of water in this pond. Normally in the summer, it dries up and becomes hard although it did not happen seven to eight years back. Global warming and imbalanced and untimely climate changing are considered prime reasons for this kind of incident.
Houses , built in the row, enhance the beauty of this pond. Some trees and greeny plants, grown around the pond, look like literally beautiful. Stairs are built like ladder. but now they are broken and bottom part of this pond has become ruin. Really speaking, this is a treasure and a valuable gift for the people of Anjan Shaheed which is needed to be preserved otherwise there will be no pond and one day we will loose an another historical monument provided by our ancestors.
So please preserve the history otherwise history is extremely cruel and will not spare anything or anybody. If you have really emotionally attachment and affection with this pond as well as your village, it is right time to raise your voice.
