A case of gang rape of a dalit girl was lodged today at Jiyanpur police station in Azamgarh district. The girl (17), native of Kurhans village, had gone to watch Ramlila in Kanjara area on Monday night. While returning home she was allegedly kidnapped and raped. She was found in a state of trauma near Bharauli village on Tuesday. The local natives informed her family members and police. A manhunt launched to nab the culprits.
